I it was an cooperative effort I’m sure SC would at least set a requirement that you have an account with SC to play in Cross and most likely need a premium account like with Djay and Spotify.
As it is now you don’t need an account or even log in to play songs.

Cross been update to 3.2.1 but I haven’t had the chance to test it with cdj’s so don’r know it the sound card problem is fixed. I will get an XDJ-Aero end of this week or start of next, And I read in the 3.2(RC) tread that someone had this problem with Aero so I really hope it’s fixed.
Anyway personal opinion here, the best future of Cross 3.2 is the ability to hide the Soundcloud tab and I hope that they start working on things that most of their customers really need, Like better FX.
They had problems between beta to RC because in the mean time Soundcould made some changes and cross could not connect. SO what if you are playing to and somewhat rely on SC for the gig but SC made some changes over night and now cross does not connect when you need it.
Cross is still the best for me but I really wish they work on getting better at basic stuff instead of something of everything

The SC works really well but I doubt I’ll be using it anytime in the near future as none of the places I play have open internet connection that I can use. Also there is really no way of knowing what the quality of the songs are, you need to download(catch) the songs to get them analyzed before you know their BPM and Key.
Cross is still to me the best DJ software out there and all the stuff I need and use for my DJ’ing is still working 110%.
I don’t mind them adding stuff I’m might not use as long as the stuff I use aren’t broken.
Really hoping FX are on their to do next list

with D-Jam remix contests are all me 😀 not just to get free stems but the chance of making my own version with actual real acapellas not DIY 😀
If you don’t win you can always make your own song out of the remix by changing it a little 😀

I say it’s worth it, but it’s because of the way I mix. I used VDJ Traktor and Serato DJ but Cross is what works best for what I do. My advice is to get Cross DJ free and try it out for some time to see if it’s for you. No one but you will know if it’s worth.

I play often using cdj2000 in HID mode a few times with Traktor but lately mix vibes cross.
If you using a mac you need to make the 2 CDJ’s aggregated (combined into 1 sound card) or with windows you need the drivers installed beforehand.

then only problem I’ve ever had with connecting CDJ’s is that it seams they always are sending the sound out of the wrong player so I need to go into audio setting and switch the outputs around.
