I do really love this software it is in a way much like Mixvibe Cross but it has the effects that Cross is missing I will be switching very soon. I spent the most part of yesterday mapping it to XDJ-Aero and have gotten it functional but the jog wheels are not working yet so can’t really use it for proper mixing πŸ™ The DDJ-SP1 I got working really fast

If your controller has 2 jog wheels and 2 pitch faders and you know how to beatmatch there really should be no stopping you from using any club setup.

I’m with Terry on this one. Looks quite cool though, but would I want it? no way.

with tractor it no problem but could be a problem with Serato. Many of Pioneers CDJ’s are HID supported in both Serato and Traktor. All others CDJ’s that also can work as midi controllers should work fine with Traktor (Need mapping though) with Serato it’s a different story as you can mapp the JOG wheels as far as I know.

When I started DJ’ing again about 4 years ago I started with VDJ used it for a few months then bought Traktor. November 2012 I bought a Pioneer DDJ-SX so got the chance to try Serato DJ never liked it. Around the same time I bought Cross and I loved it right away, I had some problems getting the mapping I made stick so I lost all I had done several times, Stayed with Traktor until around April 2013 when I decided to give mapping the SX to Cross a new chance and have used it at every gig I’ve played since. It is way better then any of the other programs I’ve used, I’ve also tried Djay, Deckadance, Mixx and One.
The only thing I would like better are the FX, I don’t use much FX but would love to have an echo out FX.
I would say 10 out of 10 would say β€œNever heard of it” πŸ˜€

My friend was a DJ so I started helping him carrying his vinyl crates to the Club, my brother was also a DJ so I helped him too. They needed breaks to go to toilet or other reasons and I took over the TT’s. soon enough I was playing alongside them and eventually on my own. had a long break like 20 years or so(playing in Bands and producing music) πŸ˜€ then a Friend who was organizing an event asked if I wanted to play again for fun (was november 2010) and I’ve been DJ’ing almost every weekend since then.

The CDJ 850 although they don’t have hot cue’s you can set up to 8 memory points in rekordbox and use the cue/loop buttons to skip through them. So if you set a memory point when you want to start the mix you can call it up with a button press.

for me I hardly ever get to play anywhere where they have monitors so I beatmatch with bout songs in headphones then take of the headphones while mixing

with to much music you could start by only exporting song you know fairly well to USB and at to them as you get more familiar with the others.

Yes most gigs I play I only use 2 decks anyway and I haven’t played any gig where I was in need of samples except from my Handball games I DJ, I have the players names sampled, but for those I use Traktor and remix decks + F1. So for my main use the Aero is more then perfect I might get the ddj-SP1 just in case I need the pads. The DDJ-SX half of it’s buttons and knobs I don’t use, it’s to big to fit on the desk in my home studio because of music production tools. A friend of mine also a DJ plans on getting rid of his CDJ 2000 + DJM 900 nex to get the Aero. A lot of this of cause is because of weight, having to carry the SX in flight case for a few miles every friday saturday is just not fun.
