Lovin’ the look of that Stanton gear of DJ Gre’…

July 2, 2011 at 10:05 am in reply to: Can i play music from my iPhone Through a mixtrack pro? #1000793U31MemberThe output from the ipod will be line level so the house mixer will handle it just fine..
U31MemberHero worship… i’ll never understand it… It will never make up for any lack of talent..
On the same ticket.. Boy George could never be called the most technically adept DJ but at least you tell he was heart and soul all about the music at his gigsU31MemberI think the folk who saw him trainwreck in Hazy’s and empty the downstairs room would 😉
“Yeah i’m a legend so i can get away with playing anything i like in any old way i like” just wasnt gonna cut it that night.
And i do mean properly properly emptied the room.U31MemberU31MemberFrom last night, dumped on the floor
U31MemberInnit, the stuff i have D/L or ripped is there because i absolutely love it, from Judas Preist /Led zep, Motley crue / Ratt, all manor of Northern soul, Funk, Classical, Dub, and of course EDM of all flavours apart from Hardcore… no way i could have time to listen to it all back to back.. but sometimes some tune just pops in to your head and you just have to play it
U31MemberI stopped giving a damn about what other people think of me a long time ago. Its truly liberating.
If people have a problem with me, it really is their problem. Dont try and reason with them.. arguing with an idiot is a fruitless exercise, they will always drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.U31MemberIn my think pad bag goes the T61p, Natch, in the other side the Numark omni control *just* fits, buttons and controls towards the centre- it actually fits far better buttons out but i like the illusion of em being better protected. in the mesh pocket inside go the gig flyers.
Outside pocket are 2 times 2 in to 1 phono splitters to piggy back in to a mixer if theres no spare line out, usb cable, 2 citronix external soundcards so i can use an analogue mixer if the midi goes west, a 4 way 2 meter long phono to phono lead for the citronix, a 3 meter stereo phono for the omnicontrols output, headphones and lappy power..U31MemberPhil, do you keep back ups of, or delete the music you “Out” in your one in one out policy?
There is no way i would permanently delete a choon unless it was rubbish and downloaded / ripped in a moment of insanity or corrupted ( having to delete a corrupted Spooky – Schmoo nearly made me cry :lol )U31Member3rd track in on your 12th of june podcast…. WOW!
U31MemberAnyone who’s DJ name begins with DJ….
U31Member^^^ That’s how our promoter mates are running the nights we do…
since i joined them in 2007 the only ounce of trouble i can recall in all that time was a bunch of students trying to get in without payingU31MemberCripes, and i stress about playing different choons by the same artist during a set, never mind the same choon!
U31MemberOnce or twice a set for me, love the sound of flanger/ filters but more then twice is too much imho
